Sunset, Moonrise

78/365: Moonrise, Sunset

Yesterday, I learned a new word: "perigee".

I probably should have known that, but I admit I did not. Perigee is the point when the moon is closest to earth. A perigee happens only every 18 years or so. A perigee moon looks 14% bigger and 30% brighter.

While I was waiting for the event with my camera, I was rewarded with a beautiful sunset.

Noodles The Clown

67/365

67/365: Noodles The Clown

Noodles The Clown (aka Norma Jean Lipert) is one of those fearless people who seems to be able to do anything. But really, she is just curious, loves to learn, and doesn't listen to that little voice that everyone has in their head that says "can't." She is a writer, painter of wine bottles, actress, cancer survivor, cookbook publisher, jewelry designer, artist, stand-up comedienne, smoking-cessation helper, teacher, and all-around fun, and hilarious person. And, of course, a professional clown.
